Once again riding his CST Pulse MXR tires, Joel Hetrick (Phoenix Racing/CST Tires/Elka/Walsh Race Craft/Moose Racing) aced both motos to take the win at ATV MX National Championships Round 6, Pleasure Valley, held July 3-4 in Seward, Pennsylvania. The victory was his fourth of the year.
“This weekend definitely did not disappoint,” Hetrick later noted on Facebook. “I was digging the track all day, felt really comfortable on the hardpacked. Pulled 2 holeshots and was able to lead every lap of both Motos. 1-1 finish for the overall Saturday and today in pro stock I was able to clinch another overall win! So happy with my riding this weekend and the machine was working amazing. Hooked up and planted in the turns.” With 250 points and four races to go in the season, Hetrick holds a narrow lead in ATV MX standings.
CST’s Jeffrey Rastrelli (Phoenix Racing) was 5-3 in the day’s motos for fourth place overall, with Nick Gennusa (GennUSA Racing/Integrated Financial Concepts/CST Tires/Walsh Race Craft) following him in fifth place after going 4-7 in the two motos.
